Central Mass Onstage will present "Seussical, the Musical” on June 13-15 at Anna Maria College.
Central Mass Onstage is a non-profit community theater group originated in the Holden/Paxton/Rutland area of Massachusetts. CMO is based upon an idea of keeping every member of the family involved in the group, whether it's by being on stage dancing, singing, acting, or helping backstage with the technical aspects of the show like costumes, lighting, sound, or props. Every bit is so helpful.
Non-profit basically means that CMO recycles the profits from one show to go towards the next. Through the months during the show rehearses, many fund-raisers are put into place like Human-i-Tees, by buying an ad in the program, or a t-shirt designed by Amy Sheridan that sponsors the current musical. To make sure that everyone has a chance to get into the musical, there is no fee to join CMO. All you need is dedication.
For over 20 years Central Mass Onstage has been bringing families of all shapes and sizes together in . For many members of the cast CMO becomes more than just a pastime but a home. The tightly knit group is always waiting with open arms for newcomers. Every show that CMO has put on is unique and magical in its own way. From the dusty window of an old-time orphanage to a boat full of immigrants waiting for adventure, throughout the years these young actors have managed to cover all the bases of imagination. The hard work and dedication shines through with every production and the joy seen in every face on the stage is sure to reach your heart. Those involved with the productions have touched our lives in so many ways. The director Beth Lundergan brings her fearless views of creativity into her productions, and her cast responds with their utmost enthusiasm. Since there is rarely a dull moment in the land of CMO, we flock to escape reality and spend a little time with our theater family
